HOUSTON (Interstat) — The Colorado women’s basketball team secured a 73-63 victory over Houston in a Big 12 conference game at Hofheinz Pavilion on Wednesday.

The Buffaloes built a commanding lead early, holding Houston to just nine first-quarter points and leading 32-23 at halftime. Colorado maintained control throughout, despite a late push from the Cougars, who outscored Colorado 24-21 in the final period.

Jade Masogayo led Colorado with 20 points. Briana Peguero scored a game-high 21 points for Houston. Colorado dominated inside, scoring 60 points in the paint compared to Houston’s 22.

Colorado improved to 17-8 overall. Houston fell to 7-17.
