(Interstat) — Hunter Hernandez scored 41 points and UC Irvine used a dominant first quarter to set the tone for an 85-65 victory over Cal Poly in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Robert Mott Gym. The Anteaters, who entered the game with a 96.10 percent win probability according to Interstat’s ELO system, improved to 25-5 overall and solidified their position atop the conference standings.
