COLUMBIA, Mo. (Interstat) — A surging Oklahoma women’s basketball team looks to continue its march toward a high NCAA tournament seed when it visits struggling Missouri in a Southeastern Conference matchup Sunday at Mizzou Arena.

The Sooners (22-6, 13-2 SEC) enter on a five-game winning streak, including a dominant 89-44 victory over Arkansas on Thursday. Oklahoma’s offense has been potent, averaging 84.2 points during the streak. Missouri (16-14, 5-10) has lost five straight, most recently a 112-71 defeat at top-ranked South Carolina.

Oklahoma is led by forward Sahara Williams, who is averaging 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds over her last six games. She scored 22 points in a key win over Tennessee on Feb. 22. The Sooners boast balanced scoring, with guard Aaliyah Chavez (16 points) and forward Raegan Beers (11 points) also coming off strong performances against Arkansas.

The Tigers will rely on guard Grace Slaughter, who has been a bright spot during their skid. She is averaging 18.0 points per game over her last six contests, including a 21-point effort at South Carolina. Missouri’s defense, however, has faltered, allowing an average of 95.2 points during its five-game losing streak.

Oklahoma won the season’s first meeting 88-72 in Norman on Jan. 11. According to Interstat’s ELO system, the Sooners have a 92.4% probability to win Sunday. Oklahoma is a 19.5-point pregame favorite, with an over/under of 162.5.
