FARGO, N.D. (Interstat) — North Dakota State dominated the second half to defeat North Dakota 95-70 in a Summit League women’s basketball game Saturday at Scheels Arena.

The Bison, now 23-3, broke open a close game after halftime, outscoring the Fighting Hawks 56-32 over the final two quarters. Avery Koenen led all scorers with 29 points for North Dakota State. Mackenzie Hughes scored 23 points for North Dakota, which fell to 7-23.

North Dakota State shot 49.2% from the field and capitalized at the free-throw line, making 29 of 35 attempts. North Dakota shot 39.3% and was outrebounded 11-4 on the offensive glass. An announced crowd of 2,944 watched the home victory.
