NEW YORK (Interstat) — Wagner defeated Saint Francis (PA) 58-51 in a women’s NCAA basketball game Saturday at Spiro Sports Center. The Seahawks used a strong first quarter, outscoring the Red Flash 19-12, and maintained that margin throughout the Northeast Conference contest.

Saint Francis (PA) shot just 25.4% from the floor and committed 26 turnovers. Wagner capitalized with 13 steals. Shelby Ricks led the Red Flash with 16 points and nine rebounds. Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor and Klea Kaci each scored 13 points for Wagner.

The Seahawks improved to 12-14. The Red Flash fell to 2-24.
