CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Interstat) — The Temple women’s basketball team edged Charlotte 58-54 in an American Athletic Conference game Tuesday night at Halton Arena.

The Owls used a strong fourth quarter to secure the road victory after the teams were tied at 37 entering the final period. Temple outscored Charlotte 21-20 in the quarter to close the game. The Owls had led 24-20 at halftime.

The win improved Temple to 11-14 this season, while Charlotte fell to 12-14. An announced crowd of 612 attended the game.

It was Temple’s second win over Charlotte this season, having also won 83-82 in Philadelphia on Jan. 24.
