Oregon State at Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (Interstat) — A surging Oregon State women’s basketball team will look to continue its climb when it visits the Portland Pilots in a nonconference matchup Saturday at Chiles Center.

The Beavers (17-6) have won four straight, including a decisive 75-53 victory over San Francisco last Saturday. They are led by center Lizzy Williamson, who dominated in that win with 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in just 25 minutes. Over her last seven games, Williamson has averaged 7.1 points and 2.0 blocks, providing a consistent defensive anchor.

Portland (13-10) has been inconsistent but is coming off a 64-59 home win over San Diego. Guard Florence Dallow powered that victory with 18 points and three assists. She has been a key offensive engine for the Pilots, scoring in double figures in five of her last seven contests.

Oregon State’s recent success has been a team effort. In the win over San Francisco, guard Kennedie Shuler added 19 points and seven assists, while forward Ally Schimel contributed 11 points and four assists. The Beavers’ current win streak includes an overtime thriller against Gonzaga and a narrow road win at Pepperdine.

The Pilots have shown resilience at home, where they are 3-1 in their last four games at Chiles Center. Alongside Dallow, forwards Jada Kennedy and Dyani Ananiev have provided crucial secondary scoring and rim protection.

Historically, this regional rivalry has favored Oregon State, but Portland will aim to leverage its home court and disrupt the Beavers’ rhythm. The game serves as a preview of a quick rematch, as the Pilots are scheduled to visit Corvallis on Feb. 19.

Saturday’s contest tips off at 2 p.m. PST. Oregon State’s next game is at home against Santa Clara on Feb. 12, while Portland travels to face Washington State on the same date.
