ST. LOUIS (Interstat) — The Richmond women’s basketball team delivered a commanding 92-44 victory over Saint Louis in Atlantic 10 play Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena.

The Spiders (19-4) overwhelmed the Billikens (11-14) from the start, building a 41-17 halftime lead. Richmond exploded for 32 points in the third quarter to remove all doubt. Maggie Doogan and Rachel Ullstrom each scored 16 points to lead a balanced Spiders attack. Mia Bergstrom scored 14 points for Saint Louis.

Richmond shot 52.3% from the field and made 16 3-pointers. The Spiders’ defense forced 18 turnovers and held Saint Louis to just 25.4% shooting. Richmond has won eight of its last nine games. Saint Louis has lost three straight.
