TOWSON, Md. (Interstat) — Towson used a strong fourth quarter to secure a 58-55 women’s basketball victory over Hofstra on Friday afternoon at SECU Arena.

The teams were tied at 26 at halftime and Hofstra led by three entering the final period. Towson outscored the Pride 18-12 in the fourth to clinch the win. India Johnston led all scorers with 24 points for the Tigers. Sandra Magolico posted a double-double for Hofstra with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Both teams struggled offensively, combining to shoot under 40% from the field. Towson improved to 11-7 overall, while Hofstra fell to 3-15. Attendance was 713.
