LEXINGTON, Ky. (Interstat) — The Kentucky women’s basketball team used a dominant second quarter to overcome an early deficit and defeat Oklahoma 63-57 on Sunday at Rupp Arena.

The Sooners led 17-11 after the first quarter, but the Wildcats outscored them 23-17 in the second to take a 34-30 halftime lead. Kentucky maintained its advantage through the second half in front of 5,714 fans. Oklahoma outscored Kentucky 38-34 in the paint, but could not recover from the second-quarter swing. With the win, Kentucky improved to 16-2, while Oklahoma fell to 14-3.
