Cincinnati at Ball State
MUNCIE, Ind. (Interstat) — The undefeated Ball State Cardinals look to continue their strong start to the season when they host the Cincinnati Bearcats in a non-conference women’s basketball game Thursday at Worthen Arena.
Ball State (4-0) is coming off an 83-59 road victory over Memphis on Saturday. Grace Kingery led the way with 22 points, while Aniss Tagayi added 12 points and six rebounds. The Cardinals have won all four of their games by at least nine points.
Cincinnati (1-3) enters with momentum after a dominant 100-61 home win against Georgetown on Sunday. Caliyah DeVillasee recorded a triple-double with 14 points, six rebounds and 15 assists in that contest. Teammates Reagan Jackson (18 points, seven assists) and Mya Perry (23 points) also had productive outings. Despite the breakout offensive performance, the Bearcats have struggled defensively in their three losses, allowing an average of 80 points.
The game pits Ball State’s perfect record and balanced attack against a Cincinnati team seeking to build on its first victory and establish consistency. The Bearcats will look to contain Kingery and disrupt a Cardinals offense that has averaged over 81 points per game.
Following this contest, Ball State will host Illinois-Chicago on Monday. Cincinnati returns home to face Canisius on Sunday.
