ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Missouri State Lady Bears, coming off a season-opening victory, will look to stay undefeated when they visit the Texas-Arlington Mavericks on Friday.

The nonconference women’s basketball game will tip off at College Park Center.

Missouri State (1-0) opened its season with a 70-66 win over Saint Louis on Monday. Kaemyn Bekemeier led the way with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Maiesha Washington added 13 points and eight boards.

Texas-Arlington (0-1) seeks its first win after falling 76-59 on the road against Houston on Tuesday. Kira Reynolds posted a double-double for the Mavericks with 15 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.

The matchup begins a challenging stretch for both teams. Missouri State will play nine of its next 10 games away from home following Friday’s contest. Texas-Arlington will embark on a multi-game trip to Hawaii later this month.
