WASHINGTON (Interstat) — In a grinding, defensive struggle where points were a premium, the DePaul women’s basketball team found just enough offense down the stretch to edge Georgetown 59-54 in a Big East Conference game Sunday at Capital One Arena. The contest, played before an announced crowd of 411, was defined by frigid shooting and frequent turnovers, but DePaul’s ability to connect from beyond the arc and a pivotal late-game sequence proved decisive.
