Middle Tennessee at Delaware
NEWARK, Del. (Interstat) — The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders visit the Delaware Blue Hens in a Conference USA women’s basketball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Middle Tennessee (14-12) looks to even the season series after falling 61-48 at home to Delaware on Jan. 22. The Blue Raiders are coming off a 70-65 road loss to Western Kentucky last Saturday, despite a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double from standout forward Blair Baugus.
Baugus has been a consistent force, averaging 12.7 points and 7.5 rebounds over her last six games, including a 17-rebound performance in a win over Western Kentucky on Jan. 31. Her inside presence will be key for a Middle Tennessee team seeking more consistent offense after scoring 65 or fewer points in three of its last five outings.
Delaware (12-15) aims to build on its earlier victory over the Blue Raiders but enters on a three-game skid, most recently an 83-57 defeat at Missouri State. In that loss, guard Lay Fantroy led the Blue Hens with 18 points. Fantroy has been a bright spot, averaging 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds over her last eight contests. She recorded a 20-point, 16-rebound effort in a narrow loss to Jacksonville State on Feb. 7.
The game features two teams jockeying for conference positioning late in the season. Middle Tennessee holds a slightly better overall record but has struggled on the road in conference play. Delaware will rely on its home court advantage, where it secured the January win over the Blue Raiders.
Following this game, Middle Tennessee concludes its regular season with home games against Florida International and Missouri State next week. Delaware has one final regular-season contest, a road game at Liberty on March 6.
Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Newark.
