EDINBURG, Texas (Interstat) — Charlotte O’Keefe scored 19 points to lead Texas-Rio Grande Valley to a 63-41 victory over Houston Christian in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Thursday night at UT Pan Am Field House.

The Vaqueros (12-9) broke open a close Southland Conference contest with a decisive 25-point third quarter, turning a four-point halftime lead into a commanding 50-31 advantage. O’Keefe, a 6-foot-3 sophomore from Overland Park, Kansas, added five assists. Jalayah Ingram contributed 18 points and six assists for UTRGV.

The Huskies (5-14) struggled offensively, shooting just 28.6% from the floor and 13.3% from 3-point range. Madison Hurta led Houston Christian with seven points. UTRGV scored 36 points in the paint and converted 16 points off turnovers to secure the win.
