FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Interstat) — The surging Colorado State Rams will look to maintain their hold atop the conference standings when they host the Grand Canyon Antelopes in a women’s basketball rematch Wednesday night at Moby Arena.

The Rams (15-4), winners of two straight, boast a stark contrast in record against the Antelopes (6-12). Colorado State secured a 61-47 road victory in the first meeting on Dec. 31, 2025, and will aim for a regular-season sweep.

Grand Canyon, however, enters with momentum from its most impressive win of the season, a 75-62 road upset at New Mexico on Saturday. The Antelopes have won four of their last six games after a difficult start to the season.

A key matchup will feature two of the conference’s top performers. Colorado State is led by guard Lexus Bargesser, who is coming off a 22-point performance in the win over San Jose State. In the first game against Grand Canyon, Bargesser posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

She will be countered by Grand Canyon’s Julianna LaMendola, who is playing her best basketball of the season. LaMendola dominated against New Mexico with 14 points and 14 rebounds, and she averaged 18.3 points over her last three games. Her production will be critical for the Antelopes to challenge the Rams on their home floor.

Colorado State has been strong at home this season, leveraging a defense that held Grand Canyon to 47 points last month. The Rams’ balance is evident, with players like Kloe Froebe and Brooke Carlson providing consistent scoring support alongside Bargesser.

For Grand Canyon, secondary scoring behind LaMendola will be essential. Chloe Mann (19 points vs. New Mexico) and Anisa Jeffries will need to contribute offensively to ease the pressure.

The game is a pivotal conference clash for both sides. Colorado State seeks to solidify its position as a contender, while Grand Canyon aims to prove its recent surge is sustainable and avenge its earlier loss.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MST Wednesday at Moby Arena.
