Loyola Marymount at Pacific
STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — A pair of West Coast Conference teams heading in opposite directions will meet Saturday when the Loyola Marymount Lions visit the Pacific Tigers at the A.C. Spanos Center.
The Lions (10-7) enter on a surge, having won three of their last four games, including a gritty 55-51 home victory over Oregon State on Thursday. Guard Carly Heidger led the way in that win, scoring 14 points in 38 minutes. She will be a key player to watch for LMU.
The Tigers (7-10), meanwhile, look to halt a four-game skid. They are coming off a 71-53 road loss to Pepperdine on Thursday, despite a 19-point effort from forward Winner Bartholomew. Bartholomew has been a bright spot during the losing streak, averaging 15.8 points over the last four contests.
The matchup features contrasting styles. Loyola Marymount has shown resilience in tight games, with two overtime victories and a double-overtime loss in its last six outings. Pacific has struggled offensively during its slump, failing to reach 62 points in any of the four consecutive losses.
Saturday’s game is the first of two regular-season meetings between the programs this season. They will meet again in Los Angeles on Jan. 29.
For the Lions, maintaining momentum on the road is critical as they seek to stay above .500 in conference play. For the Tigers, the home stand offers a chance to reverse their fortunes and climb back into the middle of the WCC standings. Tipoff is set for Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.
