Central Arkansas at Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. (Interstat) — A surging Central Arkansas women’s basketball team visits the Thomas Assembly Center on Wednesday to face a Louisiana Tech squad looking to rebound from a tough road loss.

The Bears (7-3) enter with momentum from an 82-75 victory at Grambling on Saturday, their third win in four games. The Lady Techsters (5-4), meanwhile, are coming off an 87-61 defeat at LSU that same day.

Central Arkansas boasts a more consistent resume, with its only losses coming to Arkansas in overtime, Missouri, and Arkansas-Little Rock. Louisiana Tech has faced a difficult schedule, with defeats to LSU, Baylor and Arkansas, but has shown potency at home, including a 93-66 win over Stephen F. Austin.

A key matchup will feature two dynamic guards. Central Arkansas is led by Bree Stephens, who is coming off a 13-point, 3-assist performance against Grambling. Over her last seven games, Stephens has averaged 11.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists, showcasing versatile playmaking.

She will be countered by Louisiana Tech’s Paris Bradley, who scored 19 points in the loss at LSU. Bradley has been a steady offensive force, averaging 13.8 points over her last six contests, including an 18-point, 7-rebound, 5-assist effort against Stephen F. Austin.

The Bears’ offense runs through multiple options. Alongside Stephens, Jenna Cook (16 points) and Cheyanne Kemp (15 points) were pivotal in the Grambling win. Louisiana Tech will rely on Bradley and Jianna Morris, who added 11 points against LSU.

This non-conference clash serves as a final tune-up before both teams dive into their respective league slates after the holidays. Central Arkansas begins ASUN play on Jan. 1, while Louisiana Tech opens Conference USA action on Jan. 2.

Tip-off is set for Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, in Ruston.
