Northern Illinois at Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum will meet Sunday when the Northern Illinois Huskies visit the Evansville Purple Aces in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Ford Center.

Northern Illinois (2-4) enters the contest with some confidence after a 67-57 home victory over Chicago State on Monday. Teresa Mbemba led the Huskies with 19 points, while Nadechka Laccen added 14 points and Emilie Sorensen scored 12. The win snapped a two-game skid for the Huskies.

Evansville (1-5) looks to rebound from a 75-69 road loss to SIU Edwardsville on Tuesday. Despite the defeat, the Purple Aces had a strong offensive showing from their backcourt. Camryn Runner scored 18 points and dished six assists, while Sydney Huber added 17 points. Logan Luebbers Palmer contributed 16 points in the loss.

The game represents one of the final opportunities for both squads to build rhythm before a difficult stretch of their schedules. Following this contest, Northern Illinois faces a road test at Indiana State, while Evansville travels to face Purdue.

Tip-off is set for Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
