NEWARK, N.J. (Interstat) — Two of the early season’s hottest teams will meet Saturday when the Drexel Dragons visit the NJIT Highlanders in a non-conference women’s basketball matchup at Fleisher Athletic Center.

The Dragons (4-1) look to bounce back from their first loss of the season, a 71-57 defeat at Lehigh on Wednesday. Amaris Baker led Drexel with 21 points in that contest. Prior to the loss, Drexel had opened the season with four straight wins, including road victories at Pittsburgh and Marist.

NJIT (5-1) enters on a high note after an emphatic 81-33 win over Saint Peter’s on Wednesday. The Highlanders’ offense was balanced, with Avery O’Roke scoring 14 points and Allison Cannon adding 10 points and four assists. NJIT’s only blemish is a road loss to Minnesota.

The game pits Drexel’s early road prowess against an NJIT squad that has started 3-0 at home. Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
