STEWART MANOR, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to build momentum will meet Saturday when the Bucknell Bison visit the Hofstra Pride in a non-conference women’s basketball game at Mack Sports Complex.

Both teams enter the contest with 1-0 records against mid-major opponents and struggling against high-major competition. Bucknell (1-3) is coming off a 53-60 loss at Youngstown State on Sunday. Elana Weisman led the Bison with 17 points and six rebounds in that contest. Bucknell’s lone win was a 49-45 victory over Mount Saint Mary’s on Nov. 12.

Hofstra (1-2) fell 55-67 to Penn at home in its last outing on Nov. 15. Ayen Angoi scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Pride, while Alarice Gooden added 10 points. Hofstra’s victory was a 73-66 road win at Yale on Nov. 11.

The game represents a final tune-up for both teams before challenging road trips. Bucknell will host Le Moyne on Nov. 25 before a three-game homestand. Hofstra will travel to Puerto Rico for a multi-team event, facing Maryland on Nov. 27.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
