Saint Joseph`s at Maine

VEazie, Maine (Interstat) — The Saint Joseph’s Hawks will look to build on a dominant season-opening win when they visit the Maine Black Bears for a non-conference women’s basketball matchup on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.

Saint Joseph’s (1-0) cruised to a 69-46 victory over West Chester on Tuesday, led by a 20-point performance from Jill Jekot. Gabby Casey recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Cecilia Kay added 11 rebounds and two blocks.

The Black Bears (0-0) will be playing their first game of the season. Their last outing was a 49-41 loss to Albany on March 10, 2025, concluding their previous campaign.

The game at Cross Insurance Center tips off a challenging early-season stretch for Maine, which includes upcoming road games against North Carolina State and VCU. Saint Joseph’s will return home to host Cincinnati on Nov. 11.

Friday’s contest marks the official start for the Black Bears, who will test their mettle against a Hawks team that has already found its rhythm. The matchup will be the first of a three-game homestand for Maine.
