NEWARK, Del. (Interstat) — The Delaware Blue Hens will look to build on a season-opening win when they host the Navy Midshipmen in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday.

Delaware (1-0) began its season with an 83-59 home victory over Bloomsburg on Monday. The Blue Hens will play their second of three straight home games to open the season at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Navy (0-0) tips off its 2025-26 campaign on the road. The Midshipmen last played in March, falling 63-42 at Old Dominion to conclude their previous season.

The Blue Hens’ offense was efficient in their opener, and they will rely on that momentum against a Navy squad playing its first official game. The Midshipmen will counter with a lineup that includes key contributors from last season, looking to start the new year with a road upset.

Following this contest, Delaware hits the road for a game at Old Dominion on Nov. 12. Navy returns home to face Longwood on Nov. 12.
