WASHINGTON (Interstat) — The Navy women’s basketball team delivered a commanding 86-58 victory over American on Saturday at Bender Arena. The Midshipmen, led by Zanai Barnett-Gay’s 22 points and 11 rebounds, used a decisive 28-point third quarter to pull away for their fourth straight win.

Navy improved to 16-6 overall. American, which got 15 rebounds and three blocks from Charlotte Tuhy, fell to 6-17. A crowd of 1,045 watched the Patriot League contest where Navy scored 44 points in the paint and 18 off turnovers.
