Weber State at Northern Arizona

Preview: Weber State Wildcats at Northern Arizona Lumberjacks

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum in the back half of the Big Sky Conference schedule will meet Saturday when the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks host the Weber State Wildcats in a women’s basketball matchup.

Tipoff is set for Feb. 7, 2026, at Walkup Skydome.

Both teams enter with identical 7-15 overall records, though their conference standings differ slightly. The game is a quick rematch, as Northern Arizona (7-17) won the first meeting 71-58 in Ogden, Utah, on Jan. 8.

The Lumberjacks are led by guard Naomi White, who has been a model of durability and scoring. White has logged 40 minutes in five of her last eight games, averaging 18.6 points per contest in that stretch. She scored 21 points in Northern Arizona’s most recent outing, a 79-70 home loss to Idaho State on Thursday.

Weber State (7-15) looks to snap a two-game skid after falling 55-41 at Northern Colorado on Thursday. The Wildcats’ last victory was a 72-64 home win over Sacramento State on Feb. 2.

A player to watch for the Wildcats is forward Nicole Willardson. She led the team with 10 points in the loss to Northern Colorado and has provided consistent minutes off the bench in recent weeks.

Northern Arizona’s Madison Watts, who had 13 points and three assists against Idaho State, and Audrey Taylor, who added nine points and five assists, provide key support alongside White.

For Weber State, Antoniette Emma-Nnopu, who also scored 10 points Thursday, and Paris Lauro will need to contribute offensively to ease the pressure on Willardson.

Both teams have struggled for consistency in January, with each posting just one conference win since Jan. 10. Saturday’s contest represents a critical opportunity for either squad to build confidence before the final stretch of the regular season.

Following this game, Northern Arizona begins a road trip at Portland State on Feb. 12. Weber State returns home to host Idaho on the same date.
