HAMILTON, N.Y. (Interstat) — Charlotte Tuhy scored 22 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead American to a 44-41 victory over Colgate in a Patriot League women’s basketball game Wednesday night at Cotterell Court.

The Eagles built an early lead and held off a late Raiders rally. American led 23-18 at halftime and maintained a narrow advantage through a low-scoring second half. Colgate’s Ella Meabon scored 18 points and Madison Schiller added 13 in the loss.

Both teams struggled offensively, combining for a game total of 85 points. The win improved American to 5-13 overall, while Colgate fell to 5-12.
