MISSOULA, Mont. (Interstat) — The Montana Lady Griz held off a late Northern Arizona rally for a 76-72 women’s basketball victory Monday afternoon at Dahlberg Arena.

Montana led by nine points entering the fourth quarter, but Northern Arizona closed the gap to two points in the final minute before the Lady Griz secured the win. The Lumberjacks outscored Montana 23-18 in the final period but could not complete the comeback. Montana built its lead with a strong first quarter, taking a 20-11 advantage.

The win improved Montana to 4-13 overall. Northern Arizona fell to 7-13. An announced crowd of 2,449 attended the Big Sky Conference game.
