HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Northeastern women’s basketball team held off Hofstra for a 62-60 victory Sunday at Mack Sports Complex.

The Huskies (6-10, 2-3 Colonial) sealed the win at the free-throw line, making 21 of 24 attempts. The Pride (3-14, 1-4) missed a chance to tie in the final seconds. Hofstra committed 18 turnovers, leading to key Northeastern possessions down the stretch.

Justice Tramble led Northeastern with 13 points. Hofstra’s Chloe Sterling scored a game-high 20 points, and Sandra Magolico added 12 rebounds. Both teams struggled offensively, with each shooting under 40% from the field.
