BOSTON (Interstat) — Campbell earned a 61-51 road victory over Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association women’s basketball game Friday at Matthews Arena.

The Fightin’ Camels improved to 11-7 overall by steadily building their lead after a 12-12 first-quarter tie. They outscored the Huskies 15-11 in the second quarter and 19-14 in the third to pull away. Gianni Boone led Campbell with 11 points, five assists and two blocks in 38 minutes.

Yirsy Quéliz scored 13 points for Northeastern, which fell to 5-10. Morgan Matthews added nine points for the Huskies. An announced crowd of 167 attended the game.
