OXFORD, Ohio (Interstat) — A 30-point second quarter propelled the Miami (Ohio) women’s basketball team to a 72-60 victory over Massachusetts on Wednesday night at Millett Hall. The Redhawks erased an early deficit with the decisive period, outscoring the Minutemen by 17 points before halftime. Massachusetts, which led 14-12 after the first quarter, could not recover from Miami’s surge. The win improved Miami (Ohio) to 11-4 overall, while Massachusetts fell to 10-3. The teams will meet again in a Mid-American Conference rematch on Feb. 14 in Amherst.
