HONOLULU (Interstat) — Brooke Coffey scored 15 points and the Lindenwood Lions edged Vermont 58-54 in a non-divisional women’s basketball game Sunday at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Lions built an early lead and withstood a strong third-quarter push from Vermont. Aleshia Jones added 14 points for Lindenwood, which improved its season record to 6-2. The Catamounts outscored the Lions by three points in the third period but could not complete the comeback, managing only nine points in the final quarter.
