OMAHA, Neb. (Interstat) — The Northern Iowa Panthers will look for their first win of the season when they visit the Creighton Bluejays in a nonconference women’s basketball game Thursday.

The Panthers (0-3) are coming off a 74-41 home loss to Iowa on Sunday. Bri Robinson led the team with 15 points in that defeat, while Elise Jaeger pulled down 10 rebounds.

Creighton (1-2) also seeks to rebound from a lopsided loss, having fallen 84-50 at Nebraska in its last outing on Nov. 12. Ava Zediker scored 14 points for the Bluejays, and Elizabeth Gentry just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Bluejays’ lone victory was an 83-74 road win against Drake on Nov. 9. Northern Iowa’s three losses have all come by single digits, except for the most recent defeat to Iowa.

Tipoff is set for Thursday night at the CHI Health Center Omaha. Following this game, both teams will travel to Las Vegas for separate tournaments. Northern Iowa will face Northern Arizona on Nov. 26, while Creighton will play UNLV the same day.
