DES MOINES, Iowa (Interstat) — The Drake Bulldogs, coming off a high-scoring season-opening win, will host the struggling Creighton Bluejays in a nonconference women’s basketball game Sunday at the Knapp Center.

Drake (1-0) began its season with an 83-65 road victory over Eastern Illinois on Monday. The Bulldogs’ offense was fueled by a pair of 22-point performances from Anna Becker and Abbie Aalsma. Grace Knutson added 14 points in the win.

Creighton (0-1) looks to rebound from a 78-62 home loss to South Dakota State in its opener. Despite the defeat, Ava Zediker scored 17 points for the Bluejays, while Kennedy Townsend added 14. Kiani Lockett dished out a team-high six assists.

The game is the first of a challenging two-game stretch for both in-state programs. Drake travels to face Iowa on Thursday, while Creighton heads to Nebraska on Wednesday.

Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.
