Longwood Edges High Point in Overtime Thriller

HIGH POINT, N.C. (Interstat) — Frances Ulysse’s tip-in with six seconds left in regulation forced overtime and the Longwood women’s basketball team outlasted High Point 75-73 on Wednesday night at Qubein Arena.

The Lancers, who avenged a January loss to the Panthers, overcame a 12-point deficit. High Point’s Aaliyah Collins scored a game-high 24 points, but Longwood’s 18 offensive rebounds and 18-of-23 free throw shooting proved decisive. Both teams finished with identical offensive ratings of 86.3.

Ulysse scored 16 points for Longwood. Anna Hager added 16 for High Point. The Panthers had a chance to tie in the final seconds of overtime but turned the ball over.

Longwood improved to 18-6 overall. High Point fell to 21-4.
