Wickstrom Leads UC Riverside Past Cal Poly in Big West Contest

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Interstat) — Hannah Wickstrom scored 24 points and UC Riverside withstood a furious fourth-quarter rally by Cal Poly to escape with a 70-66 victory in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Saturday at Robert Mott Gym. The Highlanders, who led by as many as 19 points in the third quarter, saw their advantage whittled down to a single possession in the final minute before securing the win to snap a three-game skid.
