WEST HAVEN, Conn. (Interstat) — The Mercyhurst Lakers edged the New Haven Chargers 81-75 in overtime in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Thursday night at Charger Gymnasium. Aniya McDonald-Perry led all scorers with 25 points for New Haven, but the Lakers used a 12-6 overtime period to secure the Northeast Conference road victory. Mercyhurst, which trailed by 10 at halftime, improved to 7-13. New Haven fell to 6-14. Jenna Van Schaik scored 13 points for the Lakers. Lindsay Hogan added 16 points for the Chargers before an announced crowd of 311.
