LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Interstat) — The Memphis Tigers look to rebound from a season-opening loss when they visit the undefeated Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday.

The Tigers (0-1) are coming off a 69-64 home defeat to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday. Daejah Richmond led Memphis with 14 points and four assists, while Chaé Harris scored a team-high 19 points. They will need similar production to challenge a Trojans squad that opened its season with a dominant 99-41 victory over Central Baptist.

Arkansas-Little Rock (1-0) was led in its opener by Jordan Holman, who posted 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Mya Cotto added 13 points in the rout.

The game at the Jack Stephens Center pits a Memphis team seeking its first win against a Trojans squad that showcased a high-powered offense. The Tigers will continue a road swing at South Alabama on Tuesday, while the Trojans will prepare for a road test against Arkansas State on Nov. 15.
