FLORENCE, Ala. (Interstat) — Alexsandra Alvarado scored 39 points to lead North Alabama to a 118-107 victory over West Georgia in a four-overtime women’s basketball marathon Friday night at Flowers Hall. The Lions secured the ASUN contest by dominating the fourth extra period 13-2.

The game, witnessed by 1,561 fans, saw the teams tied after regulation and through three overtimes. Alvarado added four assists for North Alabama. West Georgia was led by Asia Donald and Sydne Tolbert, who each scored 24 points. The Lions improved to 16-13, while the Wolves fell to 17-12.
