Morehead State at Tennessee-Martin
MARTIN, Tenn. (Interstat) — A surging Morehead State women’s basketball team will look to complete a regular-season sweep when it visits Tennessee-Martin in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup Saturday at Skyhawk Arena.
The Eagles (14-9) have won seven of their last eight games, including a 67-49 victory over the Skyhawks (10-10) on Jan. 8 in Morehead. That contest was part of a dominant five-game stretch for Morehead State, which has relied on a stifling defense allowing just 58.1 points per game during that run.
Guard Laura Toffali has been a catalyst for the Eagles. She is coming off a 40-minute, 16-point performance in a 69-63 win over Lindenwood last Saturday and scored 22 points in a win over Eastern Illinois on Jan. 24. Her consistent floor leadership will be key against a Tennessee-Martin squad seeking to regain momentum.
The Skyhawks have dropped two straight, including a 68-53 home loss to Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday. In that game, Zakheria Thompson provided a bright spot off the bench with a team-high 13 points. Thompson’s scoring punch will be needed to bolster a Skyhawks offense that has been held under 55 points in three of its last five outings.
Tennessee-Martin will aim to protect its home court, where it is 7-4 this season, and avenge January’s lopsided loss. Morehead State, however, has found a winning formula in conference play and will try to continue its climb up the OVC standings.
The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. EST tip-off on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.
