HATTIESBURG, Miss. (Interstat) — The undefeated Southern Mississippi Lady Eagles (5-0) will put their perfect record on the line Saturday when they host the Nicholls State Colonels (3-2) in a non-conference women’s basketball game at Reed Green Coliseum.

Southern Mississippi is coming off a dominant 86-53 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday. Carly Keats led the Lady Eagles with 17 points, while Sakyia White added 14. Southern Miss has won its five games by an average margin of 26.2 points.

Nicholls State arrives in Hattiesburg following a 73-66 home win over Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday. Jasmine Matthews scored a team-high 15 points in the victory. The Colonels have shown resilience, winning two close games this season, but also suffered a 25-point road loss to Florida State.

The game pits Southern Mississippi’s high-powered offense against a Nicholls State team looking to build momentum before a long break. Following this contest, the Lady Eagles will travel to Cancún for a holiday tournament, while the Colonels are off until hosting Incarnate Word on Dec. 16.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
