Tennessee-Martin at UTEP

EL PASO, Texas (Interstat) — The unbeaten UTEP Miners look to extend their strong start to the season when they host the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks in a nonconference women’s basketball game Saturday at the Don Haskins Center.

UTEP (3-0) has opened the year with three consecutive double-digit victories, most recently an 81-56 win over Western New Mexico on Nov. 11. The Miners have been led by a balanced attack, with Mary Moses Amaniyo posting a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds) in the last outing, while Sirviva Legions and Heaven Samayoa-Mathis have been consistent contributors.

Tennessee-Martin (1-2) arrives in El Paso seeking to build on its first win of the season, a 79-39 rout of Fisk on Nov. 16. The Skyhawks’ offense was powered by Zakheria Thompson, who scored 19 points in that victory, and Kenley McCarn, who added 12 points and six assists. Prior to that win, UT-Martin suffered losses to North Alabama and Tennessee.

The game is the first of a two-game road trip for the Skyhawks, who next play at Lipscomb on Dec. 4. UTEP will hit the road following this contest, traveling to face Missouri-Kansas City on Nov. 25.

Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
