Duke at Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. (Interstat) — The Duke Blue Devils and Liberty Lady Flames, both carrying 2-1 records, will meet in a non-conference women’s basketball game Sunday at the Vines Center.

Duke, the visiting team, is coming off a dominant 83-32 victory over Norfolk State on Wednesday. Taina Mair led the Blue Devils with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists in that win. Duke’s only loss this season was a 58-52 road defeat against Baylor on Nov. 3.

Liberty looks to rebound after a 61-74 road loss to James Madison on Wednesday. In that game, Avery Mills and Emmy Stout each scored 16 points, with Stout adding eight rebounds. The Lady Flames’ other two games were decisive home victories over East Carolina and Frostburg State.

The matchup features two teams with identical records seeking momentum before challenging stretches. Duke will face a gauntlet of ranked opponents, including South Carolina and LSU, in the coming weeks. Liberty will play two games in a Maryland tournament following this contest.

Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
