MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — In a dominant season-opening performance, the Messiah Falcons cruised to an 81-48 victory over the Marywood Pacers in non-conference women’s basketball action Friday night at a near-silent Brubaker Auditorium. The Falcons, playing in front of an announced crowd of 307, seized control from the opening tip and never relented. A 22-point first quarter set the tone, and a 24-point second period stretched the lead to 46-21 by halftime, effectively putting the game out of reach.
