RIVER FALLS, Wis. (Interstat) — The Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons opened their season with a decisive 59-43 victory over the Calvin Knights in a non-conference women’s basketball game at the Falcon Center on Friday night. The Falcons seized control early, closing the first quarter on a 12-0 run to establish a 12-4 lead. Calvin struggled to find its offensive rhythm throughout the contest, shooting just 31.4 percent from the floor and a dismal 7.7 percent from three-point range.
