(Interstat) — The Winston-Salem State Rams, defying heavy statistical odds, delivered a commanding defensive performance to upset the Gannon Golden Knights 67-48 in a women’s NCAA Division II playoff game Saturday at the Kovalchick Convention Center. Entering the contest, Gannon was projected as an overwhelming favorite with an 88.1% probability to win according to Interstat’s ELO system.
