(Interstat) — Grace Lesko scored 30 points and Amani Abuhatab added 21 as the Mercy Mavericks used a dominant first half to cruise past the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartans 73-47 in a women’s NCAA Division II basketball game Saturday. The Mavericks, improving to 21-6 overall, built a commanding 46-22 lead by halftime at Mercy College Gym, effectively deciding the contest in the opening 20 minutes. The Spartans fell to 8-20.
