Kansas City at Las Vegas

Chiefs, Raiders Meet in Season Finale With Pride on the Line

LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — Two AFC West rivals concluding disappointing campaigns will clash Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

The Chiefs (6-10) enter the Week 18 finale having lost five straight games, including a 20-13 defeat to Denver on Christmas. The Raiders (2-14) have lost eight consecutive contests, most recently a 34-10 loss to the New York Giants.

Despite the records, the game offers a final chance for evaluation and momentum heading into the offseason. Kansas City will look to end its skid behind quarterback Chris Oladokun, who has shown dual-threat ability. In the loss to Denver, Oladokun passed for 66 yards and a touchdown while adding 11 rushing yards. His development will be a key focus against a Raiders defense that has struggled throughout the season.

Las Vegas will counter with veteran quarterback Geno Smith, who has provided a spark since taking over. In the loss to the Giants, Smith completed 20 of 28 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. He also threw for 201 yards and two scores in a close loss to Houston on Dec. 21.

The teams have split their recent meetings. The Raiders were shut out 31-0 in Kansas City on Oct. 19, but played to a 0-0 tie in a weather-impacted game last Saturday, Jan. 3. That result was officially recorded as a tie but will not factor into Sunday’s contest.

Projections for the finale are split. Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 29-24 victory for the home Raiders. However, the same outlet’s ELO rating system gives the Chiefs an 84.40 percent probability to win, highlighting the unpredictable nature of this matchup between struggling teams.

Kickoff is set for 1:25 p.m. PST. For both franchises, the game represents a final audition for players and a step toward rebuilding for the 2026 season.
