L.A. Chargers at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — A surging Los Angeles Chargers squad, winners of three straight, will face a Jacksonville Jaguars team looking to rebound from a divisional loss when the two AFC teams meet Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

The Chargers (7-3) enter the contest with momentum after a decisive 25-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Quarterback Justin Herbert is playing at a high level, accounting for a passing touchdown and adding 19 rushing yards in the win.

Conversely, the Jaguars (5-4) are coming off a 36-29 shootout loss to the Houston Texans. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who threw for 158 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 35 yards in the defeat, will look to get Jacksonville back on track.

Despite the Chargers’ superior record, the Jaguars have been installed as 2.5-point favorites by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 43.5 points. A projection from Interstat forecasts a 30-25 victory for the home team.

The game could hinge on which team’s offense can control the tempo, pitting Herbert’s efficient play against Lawrence’s dual-threat capabilities.
