Houston at Tennessee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Houston Texans, riding the momentum of a high-scoring victory, will visit the struggling Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium in an AFC South matchup.
The Texans (4-5) are coming off a 36-29 win over Jacksonville, fueled by a strong performance from quarterback Davis Mills, who threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. The victory snapped a two-game skid for Houston, which has shown flashes of potent offense, including a 44-point outburst against Baltimore earlier this season.
Conversely, the Titans (1-8) are mired in an eight-game losing streak following a 27-20 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers two weeks ago. Their lone win came in Week 5 against Arizona. The Tennessee offense has consistently struggled, having been shut out 26-0 by these same Texans in Houston on Sept. 28.
Despite the lopsided records and recent head-to-head result, the Titans have been installed as 5.5-point favorites by oddsmakers. The over/under is set at 37.5 points. A projection from Interstat simulates a Tennessee victory with a final score of 32-23.
The game will be a test of Houston’s ability to carry its offensive success on the road against a divisional foe desperate to stop its lengthy slide.
