N.Y. Jets at New England

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Interstat) — A stark contrast in the AFC East will be on display Thursday night when the first-place New England Patriots host the struggling New York Jets at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots (8-2) enter the contest riding high, having won four straight games, including a 28-23 road victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye has been a catalyst, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Conversely, the Jets (2-7) are looking to build on just their second win of the season, a 27-20 upset over the Cleveland Browns. While the win was a positive, quarterback Justin Fields had a quiet day through the air, completing 6 of 11 passes for 54 yards, though he added a rushing touchdown.

New England has dominated the latter part of its schedule, with its only two losses coming in the first three weeks. The Jets’ season has been defined by narrow defeats, with five of their seven losses coming by a single score.

Despite the lopsided records, the Jets have been installed as 12.5-point underdogs. The over/under is set at 43.5. A projection from Interstat forecasts a 33-20 victory for the Patriots.

The game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. EST on Thursday, November 13, and will be broadcast nationally.
